GSH Reduced Glutathione is a tripeptide composed of glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine, and contains a thiol group. Its chemical name is N-(N-L-γ-glutamyl-L-cysteinyl)glycine, its molecular formula is C10H17N3O6S, and its molecular weight is 307.33. It is soluble in water, dilute alcohol, liquid ammonia and methylformamide, but insoluble in alcohol, ether and acetone. Glutathione has whitening, antioxidant, and cell regeneration promoting effects on the skin.
