Undecylenoyl Phenylalanine is a white compound powder substance containing amino acids, it is also known as N-(1-oxo-10-undecenyl)-L-phenylalanine, acylamine, phenylalanine undecenyl ketone, soluble in esters. It is a melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH) receptor antagonist. It can reduce the spots caused by pigmentation and achieve whitening effect. It is widely used in skin care and cosmetics such as lotion, face cream, facial mask, etc.

Benefits of Undecylenoyl Phenylalanine
Undecylenoyl Phenylalanine acts on the biochemical reactions of various stages of melanin formation induced by α-MSH, intercepting melanin generation signals, controlling the binding of α-MSH to melanin generating factors, effectively inhibiting tyrosinase activity, and thus inhibiting melanin formation. Mainly used as a whitening agent in cosmetics.
It can bind with nicotinamide, which can prevent melanin synthesis from the source (i.e. inhibit melanin production signals and inhibit melanin production enzyme activity), while nicotinamide interferes with the melanin synthesis pathway (i.e. inhibit melanin transport to the stratum corneum and accelerate melanin metabolism), working together to achieve whitening and spot lightening effects. It can be used to prepare stable lotion, cream, transparent water or gel, etc.
It has significant skin biocompatibility, is highly safe within the recommended dose range of 2%, easy to formulate, has good compatibility, and excellent stability. Compared with whitening agents such as arbutin, quercetin, and vitamin C magnesium phosphate, the effect is more significant.
